Maharajah Duleep Singh

 The Maharajah' s name had many spellings. He was referred to by early newspaper accounts as Dhuleep, whilst the British adminstration used Dhulip, Dhalip and Dalip. The Maharajah himself used 'Duleep' and signed his name as this, and therefore we have used this spelling throughout the website.

 DOES ANYONE RECOGNISE THIS SIKH FROM THETFORD ?

Recently duleepsingh.com has stumbled across a collection of photos of Thetford and its surrounding areas in the 1870s and this Sikh Gent keeps appearing. His connection with Duleep Singh is not known. We hope that someone out there may shed some light!!!
